The Gang Gets Invincible
Criminal Activities
Conspiracy to Commit Assault
Agreement and planning with others to commit a violent attack (luring someone to a concealed opening and dousing them with boiling oil/tar). Conspiracy to commit violence and attempted murder or aggravated assault are crimes under U.S. law when there is intent and an overt act toward carrying out the plan.
Situation:
"Dennis and Mac (with Frank present) discuss a plan involving Frank bringing a gun and firing it when Dee punts so she will be startled and blow her kick; they coordinate the scheme to intentionally interfere with Dee's tryout performance."
Drink‑spiking
Deliberately adding LSD (a controlled substance) to another person's beverage without their knowledge or consent—administering/dispensing an illegal drug to another person.
Situation:
"During the tailgate/tryout, Frank admits 'I put a shitload of it in your beer' after Charlie complains of acid effects. The spiking causes involuntary ingestion and altered behavior."
Impersonation
Deliberately creating and using a false identity to deceive another person via messages/communication (in the U.S., impersonation, identity fraud, or related statutes can apply depending on method and injury). The transcript records Dennis admitting he was the fabricated persona "Johnny" and that he sent texts from his phone to deceive someone.
Situation:
"The event advertised Donovan McNabb as a keynote speaker, but an impersonator appears and delivers a McDonald's commercial instead; attendees note 'that was not Donovan McNabb.'"
Negligent discharge of a firearm
Possessing and recklessly pointing/handling a loaded firearm in a public setting and discharging it, resulting in injury to another person (assault with a deadly weapon / reckless endangerment / battery by shooting).
Situation:
"Frank is holding/pointing a gun during the tryout and it is subsequently fired; Doyle McPoyle is struck in the leg by the round and injured. The firearm was being used in connection with the sabotage plot and was mishandled."
Public intoxication
Consuming alcohol and illegal drugs in public and engaging in disruptive, unsafe, or chaotic behavior that disturbs the peace (disorderly conduct/public intoxication).
Situation:
"Members of the Gang are heavily intoxicated/tripping at the tailgate and tryout (spiking beers, taking acid, disruptive antics, argumentation, fighting with bystanders and the McPoyles), creating a public disturbance at the event."
